Eagle’s Quill, St. Michael’s literary-arts magazine, has earned the prestigious
REALM First Class designation from the National Council of Teachers of English for
its 2025 edition. St. Michael’s was one of only three schools in Arizona to receive
this top designation, alongside two high schools.
Eagle’s Quill has been recognized by this competition for nearly 20 consecutive
years, a testament to St. Michael’s longstanding commitment to student
creativity and excellence in writing and the arts. The 2025 award is especially
meaningful, as it marks the first time the publication has achieved the coveted
First Class distinction.
Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this award-winning issue of
Eagle’s Quill. We are proud to celebrate this milestone and look forward to
many more years of creative excellence.

St. Michael’s Class of 2022 graduate Samia Posadas earned the prestigious
award for Best Performance by an Actress at the 2026 Jimmy Awards. Samia
first qualified for the national stage by winning Best Actress at Southern Arizona’s
Monte Awards, presented by Arts Express and Broadway in Tucson. Her regional
victory earned her a trip to New York City, where she competed against some
of the nation’s most talented young performers.
Watching her talent flourish on a national stage is an inspiration to our entire
