The Rev. Peter Cheney
Vice Chair
Peter and his wife Kiki live in Tucson, Arizona where he serves as a volunteer associate priest at St. Michael & All Angels parish along with his service as a trustee for St. Michael’s Episcopal School. He is currently the Vice-Chair of the Board and a member of the Executive, and Trustees and Governance committees.
His work, spanning 49 years, has included roles as the Executive Director of the National Association of Episcopal Schools; Chaplain, Counselor, and Director of Admissions at St. Paul’s School in Concord, New Hampshire; and as a leader in congregations in the dioceses of Bethlehem, Arizona, and Maine. Previously, he served on the boards of four other Episcopal schools including Imago Dei here in Tucson.
Since 2008, he has worked formally with Episcopal and other private schools throughout the United States as a search consultant and executive coach on matters of mission, governance, and leadership transition.
