Honoring our vibrant 65-year history, we are proud to announce the initiation of a $3,000,000 fundraising campaign to restore and renew our beautiful campus
Dear Friends of St. Michael’s School,
Since our founding in 1958, balance in mind, body, and spirit has been at the center of a St. Michael’s education. Sixty-five years hence, we are committed to that same balance: building our students’ capacity for success through a comprehensive, demanding curriculum, while developing their foundations in faith and service, integrity and leadership, and health and well-being. Today we educate 300 students from diverse faiths and backgrounds, in transitional kindergarten through eighth grade, on an historic three-acre campus in central Tucson, inspired by the visionary architect Josias Joesler.
In May of 2024, in recognition of our unique connection to Joesler, the Church of St. Michael and All Angels and St. Michael’s School were designated an historic site on the National Register of Historic Places.
We are incredibly proud of this new designation. In honoring this accomplishment and our vibrant 65-year history, we are also proud to announce the initiation of a $3,000,000 fundraising campaign to restore and renew our beautiful campus—namely, with added installation of centralized air conditioning for the remaining indoor spaces on campus, including our middle-school classrooms and multipurpose Student Center, and needed structural repairs and improvements to existing classroom porches, parapets and roofs.
We welcome and strongly encourage your generous support as we “honor our past and secure our future.”
If you have interest and capacity to make an investment for this historic work, please contact either Brendan Sullivan, Head of School, or Randy Downer, Jr. Campaign Chair. With your help and support, a restored and renewed St. Michael’s School will continue to serve Tucson students and families for generations to come.
