Mother Kristin Barberia has served as Chaplain at St. Michael’s School since 2022. In her role, she teaches 5th and 6th Grade Religion with a focus on biblical studies, oversees the school’s Worship and Service Learning programs, and is a member of the Administrative Team. She also serves as an Associate Priest at St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church, where she leads the Family Mass community on Sunday mornings and contributes to liturgical leadership and parish support.

Ordained in the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan in 1990, Mother Kristin spent much of her ministry in the Diocese of Los Angeles, serving at parishes including All Saints Church in Pasadena, St. James in Los Angeles, and The Parish of St. Matthew in Pacific Palisades. She was drawn to school chaplaincy as a way to integrate her calling with family life while raising her two children, both of whom attended Episcopal schools.

Mother Kristin first learned of St. Michael’s through her involvement with the National Association of Episcopal Schools (NAES). She is delighted to now call Tucson home, where she enjoys being near family and celebrating her ties to the University of Arizona through her Wildcat alum child.
