Julie Patel began teaching at St. Michael’s School in 2024. Before joining the St. Michael’s faculty, she taught English at Flowing Wells High School. Her career in education builds on over a decade of experience in nonprofit fundraising in New York City, where she worked with organizations focused on creativity, access, and community engagement.

Julie earned a Master of Science in Education with concentrations in English and Social Studies from Brooklyn College, and a B.A. in Museum Studies from Arizona State University. She is currently working toward certification in the Wilson Reading System to further support students in building strong foundational literacy skills.

A lifelong learner, Julie brings a passion for literature, writing, and interdisciplinary connections to the classroom. She is proud to be part of the St. Michael’s community not only as a teacher but also as a parent. Her two children, Aiden and Ashwin, attend St. Michael’s School and are members of the Classes of 2027 and 2030.
