Ke Chiang (John) Hsieh, Consul
Trustee
In February 1971, Shigeko, my wife, Nien-hĂȘ, our half-year-old son, and I moved to Tucson from Chicago for me to join the physics faculty at the University of Arizona. Being Episcopalians with a strong sense for justice and love for all, we settled in St. Michael and All Angels Parish. Our daughter, Shizuka, was born in St. Josephâs Hospital in the fall of 1971. Both children were âlifersâ of St. Michaelâs Parish Day School. I retired in May 2011 and currently Professor Emeritus at UA. As a parishioner, I taught Sunday school, served as sub-deacon at Mass and lay catechist, participate in social actions, served on the Vestry and as Senior Warden, and on the Diocesan Commission on Ministry. My term as trustee of the School ended with the 2021-2022 school year and since have been serving as a consul to the Board of Trustees on a yearly basis. I am currently on the Vestry, term ending in 2026.
