Ian Milliken, P’29

Chair

Ian Milliken serves as Chair of the St. Michael’s School Board of Trustees. He joined the Board in 2022 and has helped guide the school through a period of meaningful growth, leadership transition, strategic planning, and renewed focus on the long-term stewardship of St. Michael’s historic campus.

Professionally, Ian serves as the Historic Preservation Officer for Pima County, where he leads cultural resources, historic preservation, and environmental planning programs. His work focuses on protecting significant cultural and historic places, building collaborative partnerships, and helping public institutions make thoughtful, mission-driven decisions for the future.

Ian brings to the Board a deep appreciation for St. Michael’s distinctive history, its Episcopal foundation, and its commitment to educating students in mind, body, and spirit. As the parent of a current St. Michael’s student, Ian is deeply grateful for the school’s teachers, traditions, and the strong sense of community that defines the St. Michael’s experience.
