Sarah (Sally) Schufflebarger Creswell

June 27, 1935 – November 21, 2021

In memory of Sarah “Sally” Creswell, St. Michael’s School celebrates the life and legacy of a remarkable educator, leader, and mentor. Sally joined the faculty in 1967 and quickly became known for her dedication, compassion, and high standards as an outstanding third grade teacher. Her classroom was a place of curiosity, encouragement, and meaningful learning that shaped generations of young minds.

Sally’s contributions to the school community grew as she later served as Headmistress, a role in which she continued to teach 7th and 8th grade history with deep knowledge and enthusiasm. She was especially known for leading the beloved annual 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C., turning history into a living, unforgettable experience for her students.

The Sarah (Sally) Creswell Memorial Fund has been established to honor her enduring impact and to support educational programs and opportunities that reflect her passion for teaching, leadership, and experiential learning.

Her legacy lives on in the hearts of the many students, colleagues, and families she inspired throughout her decades of service at St. Michael’s School.
