Arizona Tax Credit Program
Did you know that you could sponsor a student’s education at St. Michael’s – up to $2,910 – at NO COST to you? It’s simple to redirect your tax dollars.
Your tax credit donation is essential. The St. Michael’s School Scholarship Program is funded 100% through tax credit donations, providing tuition assistance to families with demonstrated financial need, who would otherwise not have access to a quality, private education.
It’s Simple to Redirect Your Tax Dollars
Thanks to the Arizona Tax Credit program, AZ taxpayers can redirect a portion of their tax dollars to school tuition organizations to fund private school scholarships. Regardless of whether you owe taxes on April 15 or are due a refund, as long as you have an AZ tax liability, you can make a qualified donation (see below) and be paid back by the state after filing. If you time it right, you could be paid back before your credit card payment is due. For the 2024 tax year, please make a donation to the Arizona Episcopal School Foundation on behalf of St. Michael’s School by April 15, 2025. Online payment is fast, easy and secure.
Maximum credit amounts:
Tax year 2024 $1,459 for single filing separate or $2,910 for married filing joint.
Tax year 2025 $1,535 for single filing separate or $ 3,062 for married filing joint.
STEP 1
Determine your tax liability to the state. This is the overall amount owed the state, whether deducted from each paycheck or paid at tax time.
STEP 2
Before filing taxes, make a donation to AESF in the amount of your tax liability.
STEP 3
Include the donation in your state income taxes.
STEP 4
Receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit. The state will add the donation amount to your refund or subtract it from what you owe.
STEP 5
Actually enjoy tax season, knowing that your contribution will make a difference in the life of a child!
Why make the effort even if your family does not qualify for a scholarship?
Tax credit donations enable us to open our doors to qualified students, regardless of their ability to pay. As enrollment increases, everyone benefits. Adequate funding stabilizes tuition rates and expands program offerings.
