Applications Now Open! The first step of your application is submitting an inquiry form for 2025-2026 on behalf of your child. It takes only a few minutes and sets up your account for the new admission season.
STEPS TO APPLY
STEP 1: Fill Out Inquiry Form
STEP 2: Submit Application & Complete Admissions Checklist
As you complete the required steps in the checklist, the Admissions Office will contact you to schedule an Admissions Assessment and Interview. Applicants for all grades, TK-8, are required to complete an on-campus, age-appropriate assessment. During the assessment, an informal interview also takes place which allows the students to ask questions and talk a little bit about their school experience.
- In TK, the assessment is called a readiness playdate during which time a small group of potential TK students meet together with the TK teacher to explore hands-on activities in the classroom and participate in story time.
- In Kindergarten, the students work 1:1 with an experienced Kindergarten teacher to complete an assessment developed specifically for K with questions about the alphabet, numbers, shapes and more.
- In Grades 1 through 8, students are asked to complete a reading assessment, a math procedures and problem-solving assessment, and a writing sample.
ASSESSMENT DATES:
- Early Decision Assessments, Saturday, November 23, 2024
- Regular Decision Assessments, Saturday, January 25, 2025
These dates are the times when we try to get as many students through the assessment as possible. If you are applying after the scheduled Assessment Days, an individual assessment will be scheduled after school at a time that works best for both you and the evaluating teacher.
Please note that there is limited space available in many grades, and we will quickly reach capacity soon after the official assessment days.
STEP 3: Schedule Admissions Assessment
All applicants are required to complete an in-person, developmentally-appropriate admissions assessment.
- For TK and Kindergarten, applicants will participate in a readiness assessment and parent(s) will participate in a family interview with the Lower School Division Director.
- Applicants in Grades 1-4 will complete a teacher-facilitated entrance exam that evaluates grade-level reading skills, written expression, and math procedures. A family interview with the Lower School Division Director is required for the parent(s).
- Applicants to the Upper School, Grades 5-8, will complete an entrance exam that evaluates reading comprehension, written expression, math procedures and problem solving skills, and math fact fluency. Applicants will also participate in an interview with the Upper School Division Director.
There are two official assessment dates on the calendar for the 2025-26 school year. For early decision, applicants are encouraged to attend the Early Decision Assessment Day on Saturday, November 23, 2024. For regular decisions, the school-wide assessment day is Saturday, January 25, 2025. To sign-up for the assessment days, please email the Enrollment Office.
Applicants who are unable to attend one of these scheduled testing dates may make an appointment to test after school by contacting the Enrollment Office.
Early Decision Deadline for assessments is December 1, 2024
Regular Decision Deadline for assessments is February 1, 2025
STEP 4: Schedule a Shadow Day (Upper School Applicants Only)
Shadow Days are scheduled for Upper School applicants who have successfully completed the admissions assessment and interview phase. For Upper School applicants, shadow days are a required step in the admissions process. While referred to as a “day,” shadowing in the classrooms typically lasts for three hours at the start of a chosen school day. You will be contacted by the Enrollment Office to schedule an Upper School shadow appointment.
